Powerlines Plus were engaged to assemble and erect two new 220kV Double Circuit Strain Towers at the Deer Park Terminal Station.

PLP mobilised a small team to the construction site in Victoria from Western Australia and completed their site establishment, subcontractor engagement and the assembly and erection of the two towers within 8 days.

PLP worked effectively to establish new relationships with suppliers to deliver their scope of work. The team faced various interface issues as the DPTS was a highly active construction site and had numerous of different scopes of work being completed. The team delivered the project successfully without any health, safety, environmental or quality issues.

The purpose of these two new towers is to establish Deer Park Terminal Station, (DPTS) (at 279-329 Christies Rd, Ravenhall VIC 3023) to alleviate constraints caused by existing and projected growth in customer load levels in the underlying sub-transmission/distribution network at KTS. DPTS is proposed to cut into the KTS – GTS No.2 220kV line, approximately 11 km south west from KTS & 60 km north east from GTS. To achieve this, required the temporary deviation of existing KTS – GTS No.2 220kV Power Line to establish the new Deer Park
