The Silvergrass East Project (SGE) comprises the installation of new crushing, conveying and related infrastructure at a satellite ore body at the Rio Tinto Iron Ore Nammuldi Mine.

The Contractor must account for the detailed design, supply and installation of a 33kV power supply system from the existing Brockman Regional Substation to provide power, controls and communications for the primary crusher, OLC and associated facilities.

Powerlines Plus provided a new line 4 from the Brockman Regional Substation to the NBWT process plant area. The line was installed on the same poles with the current line 3.

The new Line 3 was installed to supply power directly to the SGE area, comprising primary crushing, overland conveying, mine services, RBS communications and dewatering systems. An extension to Line 1 was provided for the purposes of providing a redundant power supply for the primary crusher and OLC substations.
